I was approached by the company Recoverfun to try and review one of their massage guns. So, they asked me which color of the Recoverfun Mini I wanted, and then they sent it to me. I was pleased the receive it in red – it is Beasts Train Mean main color – and very excited to play with it and give my thoughts on the product. So, let’s Beast It!
WHAT IS IN THE BOX
In box is the Recoverfun Mini itself, and it comes with a carry bag. It also comes with four attachments: the ball, the U-shape, the bullet, and the metallic flat heads. There is also a documentation that explains how things work, and the warnings. Finally, the box includes a type-c USB charging cable. That was definitely a surprise given that the massage guns that I have tested all came with an inlet charger. Unfortunately, there is no inlet extension. So, if you want one, you will have to get it separately. However, with a USB, this also means that you can charge it from any USB port.
THE SPECS
The Recoverfun Mini weigh 1.1 pound (500 grams). It has an amplitude of 6 millimeters. The amplitude is the distance that the head travels in and out. It takes about 90 minutes to charge the Mini. At least that is what it is advertised as, and the battery life is 300 minutes (5 hours). This Recoverfun Mini also has four speed levels: level 1 (1,800rpm), level 2 (2,400rpm), level 3 (2,800rpm), level 4 (3,200rpm).
HOW IT WORKS
There is only one button on the Recoverfun Mini, and this is the power on/off button. Press it for what seems like two seconds, and it starts to work. Press the button once to switch from level one to two, up until level four. To turn it off, you press this button for about 2 seconds again.
THE PROS
- What is really good about this massage gun itself is, first of all, the size. It is small and compact, and that means you can transport it easily, and take it with you anywhere.
- It is also ergonomic and feels natural to the hand.
- The Recoverfun Mini is really quiet. I was amazed at how quiet this was when I first turned it on and had to run a few checks to make sure that it was indeed operating. It is no surprise as it comes with a brushless motor with Silent-Force Technology and is advertised to be at 48db.
- The beautiful red metallic finish is also very impressive and makes the Recoverfun Mini very pleasant to the eye.
- The stall force is possibly around 30lbs but less than 40lbs. I had no way of taking this measurement, so I may be too generous here. But after having played with the Theragun Mini witch has a stall force of 20lbs, with the Recoverfun Mini it definitely took me more force to apply in order to stop the motor. Plus, after you do, the product resumes working on its own.
- It is powerful for its size.
THE CONS
- The battery is not removable, which means that you will need a brand-new massage gun once your internal battery is done for.
- 6mm-amplitude is too short for a deeper massage, but this may not be a con depending on who you ask because you can apply descent force as you perform your therapy before the motor stops.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST AND WHERE TO BUY
The price tag on the Recoverfun Mini is $79, which is not bad for this massage gun and what it does. You can purchase yours base on the color that you would like by clicking on any of the following: Red, black, pink.

MY THOUGHTS
The Recoverfun Mini is the second mini massage gun that I have had the opportunity to play with. It is small and compact, which makes it very easy to transport, and it is also light. For a massage gun as small at this one, it is also powerful enough to give you a good massage. The amplitude of 6mm is not deep enough, but it can be compensated by the fact that the stall force is high enough to give deeper massages. Now, it is not a Theragun, but it still does a good job for its size.
